Denver Metro Areas We Commonly Serve
Each city below with a link has its own local guide: the county it sits in, its senior and active adult center, the agencies that help older residents, and what we see in its homes.
We also commonly serve Commerce City, Northglenn, Brighton and Federal Heights, along with the rest of the metro.
Cities by county
County lines matter more than people expect: they decide which county human services office handles benefits and, in a few places, which Area Agency on Aging serves you.
| County | Cities on this site | Area Agency on Aging |
|---|---|---|
| Denver | Denver | DRCOG |
| Arapahoe | Aurora (most), Centennial, Englewood, Littleton (most) | DRCOG |
| Jefferson | Lakewood, Arvada (most), Wheat Ridge, Golden, part of Westminster | DRCOG |
| Adams | Thornton (most), part of Westminster, Arvada and Aurora; Commerce City, Northglenn, Brighton, Federal Heights | DRCOG |
| Douglas | Highlands Ranch, Parker, Castle Rock, part of Aurora and Littleton | DRCOG |
| Broomfield | Broomfield | DRCOG |
| Boulder | Boulder, Longmont (part of Longmont is in Weld County) | Boulder County AAA |

Contacts for each agency are on our Denver-metro resources page.

Not listed above? If you are anywhere in or around the Denver metro area, there's a good chance we can help. We cover the entire state of Colorado and can handle all your needs for walk in tubs and roll in showers. Reach out and we'll point you in the right direction.
For homeowners farther away who have their own licensed contractor, Aging Safely Baths & More also offers supply-only shipping to all 50 states and to Canada.
Permits and building offices differ across the metro
One practical difference between cities is who issues permits. Denver work goes through the city's Community Planning and Development department. Suburbs such as Aurora, Lakewood, Arvada, Westminster and Littleton run their own building divisions, and unincorporated communities such as Highlands Ranch go through the county instead. Rules and processing also vary, so whether a given walk-in tub or shower project needs a permit can depend on your exact address and on what changes, such as moving a drain or adding an electrical circuit for a heated seat or jets.
You do not need to sort this out yourself. Your installer should know which office covers your address and handle any permit the work requires. If you are comparing companies, our installer checklist lists the questions worth asking, including who pulls the permit.
Guides that apply anywhere in the metro
Whatever city you live in, these guides cover the decisions every household makes:
- The walk-in tub brands we install: Hydro Dimensions, Ella's Bubbles, Bestbath with RANE, and Meditub
- Tub-to-shower conversions for people who would rather shower than soak
- Measuring and fit check before you call
- Paying for it: Medicare, VA, Colorado Medicaid and local help
How a local project works
- Call or send the form with your city and a little about the bathroom.
- Measure the tub area, doorways and route; our fit check shows how.
- Get a written quote with the line items explained.
- Install day. Most walk-in tubs and roll-in showers are installed in one day. Your installer handles permits where required.
